Subject: Serious concerns for CAM Worldwide

Read this very important health message below and contact everyone.
Your right to choose your vitamin, mineral and other supplements may
end in June of this year (2005). After that U.S. supplements will be
defined and controlled by the

World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Health Organization
(WHO). The CODEX ALIMENTARIUS (Food Code) is setting the supplement
standards for all countries in the WTO. They will be enforced by the
WTO and will overide U.S. laws.

The U.S. President and Congress agreed to this take-over when the WTO
Treaty was signed. Violations are punished by WTO trade sanctions.
CODEX drastically restricts vitamins, minerals, herbs and other
supplements. CODEX met secretly in November, 2004 and finalized
³Step 8 (the final stage)² to begin implementation in June, 2005.

The CODE includes:
(1) No supplement can be sold for preventive or therapeutic use.
(2) Any potency higher than RDA (minimal strength) is a ³drug²
requiring a prescription and must be produced by drug companies. Over
5000 safe items now in health stores will be banned, terminating
health stores as we now know them.
(3) CODEX regulations become binding internationally.
(4) New supplements are banned unless given very expensive CODEX
testing and approval.

CODEX now applies to Norway and Germany, among others, where zinc
tablets rose from $4 per bottle to $52. Echinacea (an ancient immune-
enhancement herb) rose from $14 to $153 (both examples are now
allowed by prescription only). They are now ³drugs². Vitamin C
above 200 mg, niacin above 32 mg, vitamin B6 above 4 mg‹all are
banned over-the-counter as drugs. No amino acids (arginine, lysine,
carnitine, etc. = essential amino acids!), essential fatty acids
(omegas 3, 6, 9, etc.), or other essential supplements such as DMEA,
DHEA, CoQ10, MSM, beta-carotene, etc. are allowed.

The CODEX rules are not based on real science. They are made by a few
people meeting in secret (see web sites below), not necessarily
scientists. In 1993 the FDA and drug corporations tried to put all
supplements under restriction and prescription. But over 4 million
Americans told Congress and the President to protect their freedom of
choice on health supplements. The DSHEA Law was passed in 1994, which
does so. But this will be over ruled by CODEX and the World Trade
Organization.

Virtually nothing about it has been in the media. What the drug
corporations have failed to do through Congress they have gotten by
sneak attack through CODEX with the help of a silent media. What can
be done at this late hour?

(1) Spread the word as much as possible. Inform yourselves fully at
www.ahha.org (www.codexinfo.org <http://www.codexinfo.org> ),
www.iahf.com <http://www.iahf.com> , and www.alliance-natural-
health.org.

(2) Oppose bills S.722 and H.R.3377. These support the CODEX
restrictions with U.S. laws, changing the DSHEA law.

(3) Support H. R.1146 which would restore the sovereignty of the U.S.
Constitution over CODEX, etc.

(4) Express your wishes to the President, Senators and
Representatives (They got us into this!) ASAP.

(5) Contact multi-level health marketing groups that can get their
members to inform the government.

(6) Send donations, however small, to the British Alliance for
Natural Health (see web site above). It has succeeded in challenging
the CODEX directives in World Court later this month or next. They
need help financially, having carried the fight effectively for
everyone. CODEX and the FDA wish to protect us by controlling
supplements in the same way they do prescription drugs. A study of
the latter by three medical scientists, was reported in the Journal of
the American Medical Association, April 15, 1998‹Vol. 279, No. 15,
p. 1200 ³ŠIncidence of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR¹s) was found
to be extremely high.² Covering 30 years (1966 to 1996) it was
found that in the U.S. an average of 106,000 hospitalized patients
per year (290 per day) die from ADR¹s and 2,200,000 need more
hospitalization for recovery. These were FDA approved drugs, properly
administered by competent professionals in hospitals--none were
considered malpractice. This is the number four cause of death in the
U.S. When combined, these account for 7% of all hospitalized
patients. This is equivalent to a 9-11 attack every ten days. There
are very few fatalities from supplements or the news would be on
every front page. There is no need for more FDA control of
supplements than is already in place, which is substantial. Instead
of drastically restricting supplements, why doesn¹t the FDA better
control and restrict the extremely dangerous pharmaceutical drugs
which are now killing us at the rate of a major airline crash per
day?

You certainly have to be a bit 'crazy' to seek Tao. Tao is
not fashionable. Tao certainly can't be served up like soup in a
restaurant, and talk of Tao sounds like so much blustery babble and
confounded fantasy – drooling superstition! You have to be a bit
of a gambler to seek the 'nonsense' of Tao. The gambler stakes
his property and wealth to win at the poker table. The spiritual
seeker gambles with his entire life, everything, his possessions,
beliefs, ideas, life, and stakes it all for 'enlightenment' and
'salvation' – just windy, insubstantial ideas, perhaps just smoke
out of some sage's pipe – who knows whether such realities even
exist or where they even lead! So if you prefer safety it makes
sense to stay on the island and forget the danger and risk of the
unknown seas.

It is 'nonsense', risk and the call of the wilderness, the
unknown, the beyond, that pulls you forward to take your boat out
onto the Atlantic ocean like some crazy Columbus in search of some
mythical El Dorado. You risk shipwreck but on the other hand, you may
potentially gain a whole new world. You weigh it up and make your
choice.

THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

I don't know what all that jibberish means. That is why we
use it only for reference, since, in order to understand it, it has
to be rewritten by someone who wants others to understand easily. I
always presumed "Monogenes" meant "self-begotten", or they might be
right to call it "only-begotten". The Bible mentions the "first-
born", the "eldest son", the "only-begotten", the "son of God", "Son
of a Virgin", an "Immaculate Conception", and the "Son of Man". Here
is how you understand these enigmatic terms:

"Self-begotten" means not born of a woman's womb nor of fornication,
such as all who are "Born Again of Water and Spirit". We were born in
the corruption or sin of fornication, and then "Born Again" in
incorruptibility, without fornication, via the "Marriage Supper", as
a "Son of Man", because this "son" is not as a child being born from
its mother's womb. It is the "Son of a Virgin", since there was no
fornication to accomplish this end. Lilian Storey, the librarian at
the London Theosophical Society once told me that the old meaning of
the word "virgin" also meant that the woman never bore a child, as
well as having not fornicated, so this is "the Son of a woman who
never fornicated and never bore a child", since it means Genetic
Rejuvenation and not normal childbirth.

The "First-Born" means that the Spirit existed before the Body, so,
having been "Born Again of Water and Spirit", and having attained the
Holy Spirit and having wandered in Akasha (the Spiritual Dimension),
one is in his original form. Also, in those ancient days, it was
the "First-Born Son" who inherited his Father's possessions or
kingdom. The "Only Sons of God" are such Spiritual Sons or "Twice-
Born" (Dwij), as we say in Sanskrit. The "Eldest Son" is the person
living in his original (eldest, first) Resurrected or Regenerated
Body. Whatever happened to the daughter?

The ancient Jews, like modern Moslems, were "male chauvenists", so
the woman did not get proper credit. In the Nag Hammadi Gospels,
Jesus states that he must "make Mary male, so that she can enter the
Kingdom of Heaven". The Truth is, he only had to make her half-male -
to "male-ize" her. The Book of Genesis has the story of cows, who
drank from a trough with rods (phallic symbols) in the water, and,
thus, they conceived. And speaking of this "Immaculate Conception",
all such "sons" are indeed Androgynous and half-female, so you might
best call such a one a "child". Equal rights for woman in the Kingdom
of Heaven. When we say "God", it is no "gender-bender". Sai Ram

Health Freedom is Under Attack
Worldwide pharmaceutical interests have launched a secretive global
attack to limit access to information on health choices & restrict
the right to obtain dietary supplements.
Pharmaceutical interests would gain financially if supplements are
strictly controlled and so they are pushing for the US to adopt Codex
Alimentarius, an international code of standards that would force us
to "harmonize" with France & Germany's restrictive rules.
In Europe, The EU (European Union) Vitamin Directive threatens to
destroy consumer access to therapeutic doses of vitamins & minerals,
except by prescription.
In the U.S., Americans, who write to Congress to demand an Oversight
Hearing on Codex, are being told that a Federal Statute already
protects their rights. This is misleading.
Current pressure to set arbitrary "safety standards" for vitamins
(UL's or Upper Levels) in the US could set the stage for
harmonization. It has begun...

"Health Freedom is Under Global Stealth Attack"

Vitamin Consumers World Wide, Especially Americans:
Multinational Pharmaceutical Interests are currently engaged in a
global stealth attack on the dietary supplement industry and it won't
be stopped without immediate massive grass roots action, especially
in the USA and in the European Union. Currently in the European
Union, vitamin consumers are under direct attack and there is a need
for vitamin consumers world wide to go to www.laleva.org to sign the
Anti-EU Vitamin Directive Petition. The EU Vitamin Directive
threatens to destroy consumer access to vitamins and minerals within
the therapeutic range, except by prescription, all over Europe, to
force all EU nations to walk in lockstep with Germany and France
where dietary supplements are heavily restricted. Unless stopped, all
15 EU nations will harmonize with Germany going into the next Codex
vitamin meeting in November of 2001, and this could drive it through
to completion.

This would set up the USA and the rest of the world for
harmonization, in the same way all the EU countries are currently
threatened. Consumers world wide must protest en masse, in the EU to
your MEPs, elsewhere to your MPs and in America by demanding an
oversight hearing which has been denied us since 1996 due to pressure
from pharmaceutical interests.

For the past 5 years, members of Congress have told American vitamin
consumers that an Oversight Hearing on Codex is a non issue because a
Federal Statute protects our laws, including the Proxmire Vitamin
Act, and the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994,
from harmonization to a restrictive international standard.

People receiving this response from Congress are being misled, and
Congress is being scripted on how to respond by the FDA, which is
acting in the best interests of the multinational pharmaceutical
industry, instead of representing the best interests of American
vitamin consumers.

If the Federal Statute in question (19 U.S.C. 3512(a)(1) and also (a)
(2) in FACT protected our laws from harmonization to international
standards which are usurping our sovereignty, it would not have been
necessary for Congressman Ron Paul to introduce the American
Sovereignty Restoration Act HR1146. "(ASRA")

Paul felt compelled to introduce ASRA because it is apparent to him,
and to Jeanne Grimmett of the Congressional Research Service, that
our domestic laws are not in fact protected by the aforementioned
Federal Statute, due to the threat of trade sanctions being imposed
by the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body whenever we try refusing to
harmonize our laws to an international standard. There are many
examples in which Congress has in fact caved to this threat of trade

Proof that we're being set up for harmonization to the highly
restrictive EU and Codex standards can be found at

European Leaders Agree on Principles to Harmonize Dietary Supplement
Regulations" The American people seem to have been cut out of the
loop as the pharmaceutically dominated working group on dietary
supplements of the Trans Atlantic Business Dialogue has flat out
stated their intention to harmonize our laws, whether we like it or
not!!! The FDA is in bed with these multinational pharmaceutical
companies, and all of this would come out in an Oversight Hearing.

This Codex Vitamin Issue is proof positive that we must pass the
American Sovereignty Restoration Act, because none of our domestic
laws are safe from harmonization, and this issue proves it. Oversight
is, therefore, sorely needed.
